Seminar Series of the School of Applied Sciences – Spring 2016 – 6. Seminar

In the context of SAS Seminar Series, on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Law Auditorium, Mrs. Melike Karaman, the Asst. General Manager at PROTEL A.Ş., responsible for the Hotel Systems, shared her experiences till reaching her current post and her knowledge of hotel and restaurant automation systems with the students in a sincere and didactic way. Mrs. Melike Karaman firstly spoke of the general information about PROTEL A.Ş. and the firm’s mission of serving international brands to our region at her presentation titled “The Redefinition of Service”. Thereafter she continued her informative presentation with the importance of technology improvements, internet, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and mobile device applications. Mrs. Melike Karaman detailed her speech with business intelligence solutions, restaurant and in-room guest applications, loyalty management and electronic invoicing systems (B2B, B2C invoicing) topics. She showed a video about a high-tech hotel staffed by the robots. After the Q&A session, farewell ceremonies ended with a big applause for Mrs. Melike Karaman.
