OZU Simulator Center Launched in Cooperation With Agronn

Launched in collaboration with the AGRONN Simulation Technologies, the OzU Simulator Center aims to provide our Undergraduate Professional Flight Program students at the School of Aviation with the necessary support in their flight training courses and help them complete, while still at university, the required orientation programs pertaining to the cockpit procedures of the airplanes they will use in the future.
It can be challenging for newly graduated pilots to be tested in the cockpit of an airplane they have never used before.  The OzU Simulator Center at the Özyeğin University Çekmeköy Campus aims to eliminate these challenges with its sophisticated flight training program and renowned flight instructors. To this end, the Center will provide our students with full-fledged practical expericence before they enter into the recruitment process for a position in airlines.
Moreover, in the pursuit of preparing our students as resourceful pilots, the Center will serve as a platform where, in addition to Airline Transport Pilot License courses, a majority of applied courses offered in the Undergraduate Professional Flight Program curriculum will also be taught. These courses include “Aviation Psychology”, “Aviation English”, “Airline Recruitment Preparation”, “Airline Operation Procedures”, “CRM” and “English Speaking Skills”.
Flight simulation training offered by Özyeğin University aims to build on technical and non-techical skills of our students. Training covers a broad range of subjects including ground operations, take-off operations; climb, cruise, descent, approach, landing, and taxiing procedures; ordinary and emergency procedures; performance and weight balance calculations;  team cooperation and teamwork; problemsolving; leadership; time management; decision making; risk management;  situational awareness and environmental analysis.
AGRONN Simulation Technologies will assist pilots in reviewing flight routes, offering procedural training prior to type rating programs, and organizing cockpit orientations for prospective pilots who will apply for jobs in airlines at The OzU Simulation Center.
Furthermore, the Center will also give a taste of real flight experience to virtual flight enthusiasts. The Center hopes to offer virtual aviation courses through web-based rental services as well as provide support to people with aviophobia or fear of flying.
The cooperation will also serve as a major starting point for developing more sophisticated certified flight simulators in the future.
