Dr. A. Aylin Alsaffar had the honour of speaking at TEDxOzyegin University Conference that took place on May 5, 2016 at Ozyegin University Campus in Istanbul, Turkey. The theme of the conference was “Regeneration”, which was chosen with the aim of emphasising the need to improve the human mind set to achieve our actual potential.

As a food scientist and a Registered Nutritionist (UKVRN) specialised in food, Dr. Alsaffar was a speaker at the event with her talk entitled “Eating with a good conscience”. She explained that our eating and buying habits had far-reaching consequences. She made important remarks on sustainable food, human health and the environment. Her aim was to convince the audience that our choices as consumers play a leading role in the welfare of our health and the environment.
