Entrance into university is a turning point both for students and parents, where one of the most important decisions in life is made. We all passed through this period with the same feelings.
The world is changing so rapidly that we cannot be sure whether decisions made today will also be valid in the future. We do not know whether today's popular professions will preserve their popularity in the future.
During the foundation process of Özyeğin University, the mission of the group of experts who endeavored to establish the educational philosophy and system of this university, was first to offer a remedy to these justifiable concerns of students and their parents.
Therefore, the distinguishing feature of Özyeğin University has been designated as a flexible education system that is continuously renewed according to actual needs, with which students decide on their future professions and establish close relationships with their future fields of activity during their education. While selecting the departments of our university, we have taken into consideration the emerging professions in the changing world.
In this flexible structure, the basic objective of Özyeğin University will be to enable you to think differently and more freely and to help you to become curious, inquisitive and creative. Our greatest dream is to see your signatures under influential and successful projects and work, as wise young people, endowed with universal values, having the capacity to conduct research, fully knowledgeable in their fields, knowing more than one foreign language and sensitive to the problems of our country and the world.
As for the business and academic worlds where specialization and competition are gaining more importance, you must not forget that not only attaining knowledge but also using knowledge effectively and efficiently will actually differentiate you from others and bring you success.
You must also not forget that we live in an era of global rather than individual reflection and behavior. Therefore, we founded this university with the major aim of training you for four years so that you will be sought-after business people, researchers, educators, entrepreneurs, not only in Turkey but all around the world.
