Information literacy is knowing when and why the information is needed, where to find it, and how to evaluate, use and communicate it in an ethical manner. Information Literacy education is planned in consultation with the Academic Staff and embedded into the Academic Program. Students will have detailed information about the Information and Communication Technologies, resources and services provided by the Library, and how to use them efficiently in classes. The following activities are on offer:
- Orientation Tours
- General Information Seminars
- Subject Oriented Seminars
- Class Oriented Seminars
Faculty librarian works closely with you to support your research needs by providing information about resources and services and answering your queries. You may e-mail faculty librarian at facultylibrarian@ozyegin.edu.tr to ask your questions or make an appointment to receive support for your research.
Article Request :
Özyeğin University obtains copies of articles not available in its collection by working in co-operation with other libraries and institutions. Undergraduate students may ask for 2 articles at a time. This service is available free of charge and articles are provided in approximately 2 weeks. You may request articles by sending email to libill@ozyegin.edu.tr.
Inter Library Loan (ILL):
Özyeğin University obtains books that are not available in its collection by working in co-operation with other libraries and institutions. Undergraduate students may ask for 2 books at a time. This service is available free of charge to Özyeğin students. Borrowing privileges vary according to the supplying institution's policy. You may request articles by sending email to libill@ozyegin.edu.tr.
Ordering Resources:
Your contribution to the development of the library's collection is very important. Regular meetings are held with the student council to hear about students' requests and advices. You may send your requests by email to libinfo@ozyegin.edu.tr. You can also use "Suggestion Box" in the library to send your requests and suggestions.

Group Study Rooms:
There are 2 group study rooms in the library. You may use these rooms for 4 hours by obtaining a key from Information Desk. The room includes LCD screens that you may connect to your laptops.
Copying/Print:
Copying and printing service facility is available on the -1st floor in Canon Copy Center, and in the library. You can use these machines with your University ID card. The prices are:
Black/White A4: 4,0 YKR
Black/White A3: 8,0 YKR
Color A4: 30,0 YKR
Color A3: 60,0 YKR
