Özyeğin University Named Turkey's Youngest Foundation University In "THE World University Rankings"

Times Higher Education (THE), London-based higher education ranking institution, announced its World University Rankings 2021. Only 11 universities from Turkey, including Özyeğin University, made it to the world’s top 1,000 universities ranking.

According to the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2021, Özyeğin University was ranked as one of the top 5 universities in Turkey in the first year it was included in the ranking. Özyeğin University has also been named the youngest university in Turkey to meet the rankings’ inclusion criteria of “publishing a minimum of 1,000 publications over a 5-year period and publishing a minimum of 150 publications per year”.

The  Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021 include 1,527 universities from around the world, with 43 universities being in Turkey. A closer look into the sub-criteria of the World Rankings 2021 reveals that Özyeğin University has also become the top 3rd and top 4th university in Turkey in “Citation” and “International Outlook”, respectively.
