Özyeğin University, The Youngest Turkish University in THE World Rankings 2021, Adds a New Accolade to Its International Achievements
After announcing its World University Rankings 2021, which ranks the world’s best universities, Times Higher Education (THE), London-based higher education ranking institution, announced its World Rankings by Subject, which highlights the world’s top universities across 11 individual subject areas. Özyeğin University had placed in the 601-800 band in the World University Rankings 2021 in the year of its admission to the rankings, marking an important achievement. In the World Rankings by Subject which was released on October 28, Özyeğin University this time was named Turkey’s top 4th university in “Engineering and Technology”.
This year, only 29 universities from Turkey and 1,098 universities from around the world made it to the individual subject rankings in engineering and technology. Özyeğin University ranked in the 501-600 band among the world’s best universities, once again certifying its research university identity.
Meanwhile, in Engineering programs, Özyeğin University was named Turkey’s best foundation university in Civil Engineering. Özyeğin University was also ranked 3rd with its Industrial Engineering Program, while placing 4th in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical-Electronics Engineering.
Our University has also become the youngest Turkish university to ever rank in THE’s both World University Rankings and World Rankings by Subjects.
