We Come in First in National Finals of Red Bull Basement

The Redbull Basement program supports tech-entrepreneurs and gives university students the opportunity to pitch next-generation ideas that could improve life on campus today. This year, over 200 applications were received from Turkey for the Red Bull Basement Program. At the end of the program, Elif Bilge Gürgür, junior Industrial Engineering student at Özyeğin University and founder of the startup “ToplaGel”, came in first with her teammates, seizing the opportunity to build on their startup in the wider world.

This year, 4,041 applications were submitted from 44 countries for Red Bull Basement. The Final Pitch for Turkish finals was held online on October 27, 2021. After naming one national finalist per each participating country, Red Bull Basement will culminate in a Global Final with national winners.  Designed as a platform that accelerates recycling and encourages it through a reward system, ToplaGel was named national finalist and qualified to represent Turkey in the global final.
