Erkan Yönder’s Project Awarded International Prize

The project titled as “Decomposing the Value Effects of Sustainable Real Estate Investment: International Evidence” written by Erkan Yönder from the Faculty of Business at Ozyegin University and Avis Devine from York University, Canada has been awarded the Nick Tyrrell Prize by INREV, IPF and SPR, leading real estate investor associations in Europe. The prize is given to applied projects every year in the field of real estate investments. Avis Devine and Erkan Yönder will receive their prize and present their project in a panel to be organized in London on March 8, 2018.

The project makes important implications on green property investments for real estate investors. In summary, the findings of the project indicate that green building investors benefit from both increasing cash flows and profitability and improved corporate image enhancing corporate value due to their environmental investments.
