Our students place first, second, and third, claiming the top three “best chef” titles in the d.ream Chefs Wanted Event of Assessment for Employment

Our Gastronomy and Culinary Arts students Mert Gürses, Necmi Alihan Erdem and Seher Melis İmbat claimed first, second, and third place, respectively, in the “d.ream Chefs Wanted” event of assessment for employment organized by Doğuş Restaurant Entertainment and Management from April 16 through April 18.

Mert Gürses, Necmi Alihan Erdem and Seher Melis İmbat has made it to the top three in the “d.ream Chefs Wanted” event of assessment held among young chefs by Doğuş Restaurant Entertainment and Management from April 16 through April 18. Our students’ success has been a source of pride for our University. The competition featured 12 contestants from the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Departments of Istanbul-based universities, including Özyeğin University. Our students garnered the appreciation of the judges with their delectable dishes and impeccable plate presentations. 

The event of assessment lasted three days and participants were evaluated by a large panel of judges based on a set of different criteria from their fundamental culinary knowledge to their innovative and modern culinary interpretations. All three winners were honored with job offers by the d.ream group, effective from their graduation. 

Our students received their awards from Mr. Levent Veziroğlu, CEO at d.ream (Doğuş Restaurant Entertainment and Management), who  attended the Hotel Management and Gastronomy seminars held by the School of Applied Sciences at Özyeğin University as a guest speaker, on May 3.
