The Center for Entrepreneurship, through its activities and programs, increases the entrepreneurial awareness and competencies of individuals from different walks of life, helps them effectively bring their business ideas to life, and vest them with agility to maintain the competitiveness and growth of their businesses.
To this end, the Center enters into collaboration and offers programs in cooperation with national and international organizations to strengthen women’s entrepreneurial and managerial skills, and minimize gender inequality in order to contribute to sustainable and more shared economic growth.
The 10,000 Women Initiative The 10,000 Women Initiative was launched by Goldman Sachs, the international investment bank, in a total of 16 countries, 8 in Africa, 5 in Middle East and Far East, and 3 in the Americas. The project had a total budget of USD 100 million. The Turkish leg of the 10,000 Women Initiative was managed by the Center for Entrepreneurship at Özyeğin University.
Women entrepreneurs, who were carefully selected and admitted onto the project, received a variety of training programs on business plan development, fundamental entrepreneurship skills, accounting, access to funding, sales and marketing, product planning, and organizational planning. Women entrepreneurs who successfully completed their training were provided with mentorship support by the Center for Entrepreneurship.
