We will keep updating the success stories of our graduates at this page who had their undergraduate degree in Computer Science Engineering department at Özyeğin University.

Taha Doğan Güneş

Taha (CS), had participated various projects during his studies in Özyeğin University. He was a member of an agent, which had 1st rank in Automated Negotiating Agents Competition (ANAC). He had his PhD program in Southampton University in artificial intelligence and trust understanding of data with full scholarship.

He is working under the project, TUnDRA: Trust Understanding of Data and Reasoning Algorithms, which is funded by UK's National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), covers topics around robust and discrete optimization techniques. He also worked on CyPrIAAn: Cyber Predictive Intelligence for Asset-based Analytics, which allow cyber analysts to predict both future attacks and the next steps of evolving cyber-attacks under UK Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) funding. After his PhD, he kept working in these projects and he had the chance to present his works in the international conferences.

In 2022, Taha started wo work in an international investment bank, Goldman Sachs as a data engineer. He is working to increase the efficiency of the customers using artificial intelligence techniques in manufacturing and industrial areas with a UK based start up

Tuna Tuncer

Tuna Tuncer (CS)while a student at Özyeğin University's Computer Science department, served as a Student Ambassador at Microsoft Turkey. Under the supervision of Assistant Prof. Emre Sefer for his graduation thesis, he utilized state-of-the-art neural networks capable of predicting stock price movements and subsequently published and presented a paper at the 3rd ACM International Conference on AI in Finance. He also engaged in research to optimize software continuous integration processes with Prof. Darko Marinov from UIUC, Assistant Prof. Wing Lam from GMU, and Assistant Prof. August Shi from UT Austin, which led to a significant pull request to the apache/shardingsphere project and a paper published in ASE 2023. During his research at Özyeğin, he led the development of a diffusion-based model for video instance segmentation in Assistant Prof. Sedat Özer's lab. Upon concluding his undergraduate studies, he embarked on a Master's degree in Informatics at the Technical University of Munich in Germany, where he presently continues to advance his academic pursuits.

Osman Furkan Kınlı

Osman Furkan Kınlı (CS 2018),obtained his master's degree in Computer Science the following year. Within the scope of his master's thesis, he worked on similar image retrieval using Capsule Networks. He is currently continuing his doctoral thesis work. His research areas cover image processing, computer vision, image manipulation and restoration, illuminance and colors, and computational photography. He has achieved awards in international competitions related to night photography rendering in consecutive years. He has received the best reproducibility report and the best reviewer awards in international challenges on the reproducibility of academic research in Computer Science. In addition to his doctoral studies, he has also worked as a teaching assistant in undergraduate courses and as a research assistant in different research projects for his department. Furthermore, as venturing into the entrepreneurial journey in early 2020, he founded a Canadian-based company called T-Fashion, which provides services in AI-driven fashion trend analysis and generative fashion design.
