Alper Yağcı received his B.A. with a double major in international relations and history from Boğaziçi University in 2007, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2016. His interests include comparative politics, international relations, economic development and environmental politics. He has conducted fieldwork in Latin America and speaks Spanish and Portuguese. Dr Yagci has published in refereed international journals and been awarded fellowships/grants from the National Science Foundation, Social Science Research Council, American Council of Learned Societies in the USA, and TÜBİTAK in Turkey.
