Dr. Hakan Ertem, Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Industrial Design. He graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts Industrial Design in 1989. Afterwards, he received his master's degree at the same university with his thesis on "Driver's Seat in Buses Used as Urban Public Transport Vehicles" (1991). After completing his military service between 1991-1992, he started his doctoral studies in 1995. He completed his doctorate studies at Marmara University in 1999 with his thesis on "Packaging Design Process". He received the title of Assistant Professor in the same institution in 2002. Between 2003-2010, he served as the head of the Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Industrial Design. During this period, he acted as the Head of Istanbul Branch of the Industrial Designers Association (ETMK) for a term and actively took part in this institution. He has been involved in many projects since 1993 by carrying out his professional and academic studies mainly in the design of heavy road vehicles, Defense Industry, Railway vehicles and investment products.
