Dr. Işıl Oygür holds a PhD from Individual Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program at Washington State University (2012), a M.Sc. from Department of Industrial Product Design at Istanbul Technical University (2006), and a B.ID. from Department of Industrial Design at Middle East Technical University (2003). After completing her PhD, Dr. Oygür served as an assistant professor at Bahçeşehir University, Industrial Design Department for four years. Prior to academic experience, she worked as an industrial designer at Can Yalman Design and Texta. Since 2012, Dr. Oygür has been working as a design research and strategy consultant for a wide range of national and international firms. Her research interests include design research methods (with a specific focus on design ethnography), design anthropology, user-centered design, and the scholarship of teaching and learning in design.
