Kurtul Gülenç is a professor of philosophy at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Boğaziçi University, Department of Philosophy. He completed his doctorate education at Hacettepe University, Department of Philosophy. His areas of interest are ethics, history of social and political philosophy, theory of freedom, debates on democracy, philosophy and sociology of law. There are many copyrighted books, articles and book chapters. Book reviews and translations have been published in different magazines and newspapers. He co-edited the book Looking at the Judiciary with Philosophy (2016), published by Yapı Kredi Publications, together with Özlem Duva.
