Professor Dr. Mehmet Rıfat Tınç completed his undergraduate education at Robert Schuman University in Strasbourg, in France between 1997-2001. At the same university, he received the certificate of European Communities and Union and completed his Master's degree on the same scope in 2002. In 2009, at the University of Strasbourg, he had his PhD degree with his Thesis in the field of the Law of the European Union, which was awarded as « the Best PhD Thesis in Public Law in the Faculty of Law ». In 2010, he was appointed to the position of Assistant Professor at Kadir Has University Faculty of Law and served as President of the Chair of European Union Law. In 2011, he became an Associate Professor (Maître de conférences) at the Faculty of Law and Economics of La Réunion University in France. In 2014 he had his Turkish Equivalence of Associate Professor by the Inter-University Council (Ü.A.K.) decision. During his education and working life, Tınç has published many articles in academic journals or books in the field of the European Union Law and Constitutional Law both in French and Turkish and taught in many fields of the Public Law as EU Law, International Law, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Modern Legal Systems, Legal History of Institutions, Legal Terminology, both in French and in Turkish. He has actively participated in many scientific studies in France and in Turkey and intervened as visiting Associate Professor at various universities. Tınç has also made internships or worked for reports within institutions such as the European Court of Human Rights, the René Cassin Institute for Human Rights in Strasbourg and the European Commission Experts.
