Ömür Sözer Şenol earned her bachelor degree in landscape architecture from Istanbul Technical University in 2006. In 2010, she graduated from the master program European Urban Studies at Bauhaus University Weimar in Germany. Between 2010 and 2016 she worked in several landscape architecture and planning offices in Frankfurt am Main and Oldenburg where her work is concentrated on projects in various scales from designing residential, hotel and school landscapes to urban design and regional landscape development plans as part of interdisciplinary teams. In 2019, she started her doctoral studies in landscape architecture department at Istanbul Technical University. Her research interests are intersections between landscape architecture and urbanism, rainwater management and flood resilience, contemporary landscape architecture practices and landscape representation.
