Dr. Zeynep Karapars graduated from Bilkent University, Department of Economics in 1997. She obtained her M.Sc. and PhD in Industrial Design from Middle East Technical University in 2004 and 2013 respectively. During her studies she worked as a researcher at METU Product Usability Unit where both academic and industry projects took place. Between 2009 and 2013 she taught User Research, Design Management and Marketing for Designers at TOBB University of Economics & Technology. Simultaneously, she worked at a consultancy company in METU-Technopolis where she lead user experience projects for local and international companies. In 2014, she moved to Istanbul and directed user experience design of an e-commerce company, Markafoni. Until Today, the industry projects she realized include banking, medical, automative, white goods, mobile phones, e-commerce and consumer electronics products. Her academic research is on user research, user experience components and their evolution in the long-term, and recently, service design.
