After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Translation and Interpreting at Boğaziçi University, and her Certificate of Teaching English from Marmara University, Dr. Kılıç-Bebek started to teach at the School of Foreign Languages in Yıldız Technical University (YTU). She received her Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from YTU, and her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Urban Education from Cleveland State University (CSU) specializing in Learning and Development. Her master’s thesis, as well as doctoral dissertation, were about university students’ academic achievement, and she worked as a research assistant in CSU's student support efforts. In 2010, she taught at CSU. Between 2012 and 2015, she worked as a researcher for the Education Reform Initiative. Since 2016, she has been the Learning Office Manager at Özyeğin University.
Pınar Şengül-Tığ received her BA in Psychology from Yeditepe University and her MA in Applied Developmental Psychology from Özyeğin University. During her BA, she conducted a research on the relationships between neuroticism, test anxiety, perfectionism and achievement orientation in college students. Her master’s thesis was on the reactions to negative emotions of adolescents and their effects on psychological well-being. As a Research Assistant in Psychology Department of Özyeğin University between 2014 and 2017, she took part in various research projects funded by TÜBİTAK and she also worked as a teaching assistant in many undergraduate courses such as Adolescence and Transition to Adulthood, Motivation and Self-Regulation, and Research Methods. After working as a Developmental Psychologist in a private institution in 2018, she has been working as a Learning Specialist at Özyeğin University since 2019.
