Rector’s Message

We embrace Özyeğin University as a social legacy entrusted to us to continuously carry it forward and pass it on to future generations. To this end, we developed our strategic plan for 2018-2023 based on an accountable institutional management approach. In line with this plan, I am confident that we will spear ahead with our commitment to be an entrepreneurial research university preferred by all our stakeholders. While developing this plan, we have held meetings for the first time with both horizontal and vertical stakeholder participation in our University. As a result of these meetings, seven key objectives were identified for which a total of 23 goals and 132 metrics were determined to shape our road map for the next 5 years. On behalf of myself and our University, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Prof. Dr. Tanju Erdem, our Vice Rector for Academic Affairs who have coordinated this process, as well as our academic Deans and Directors who owned this process and have supported him in his efforts, and our Department Head, Directors and all members of OzU who have participated in and made significant contributions to this process.
