“Homecoming 2023” Hosted by Our Board of Trustees Chair Hüsnü Özyeğin, and Our Rector Prof. Dr. Esra Gençtürk Celebrated with Wide Participation of Our Alumni

Özyeğin University alumni, guests, and members reunited at Homecoming.

A special reception has been organized for our alumni who celebrated their 10th anniversary of graduation with our Rector Prof. Dr. Esra Gençtürk and Mr. Hüsnü Özyeğin, Chair of the Board of Trustees at Özyeğin University, in attendance. Following the reception, Prof. Dr. Gençtürk and Mr. Özyeğin came together with our alumni at a talk.

Prof. Dr. Esra Gençtürk stated that she was very happy to reunite with OzU alumni and members after a 4-year hiatus due to the pandemic, and remarked: “It is exciting to be here together at Homecoming, where OzU traditions are cherished, special moments are experienced, and at the same, which also marks the beginning of OzU's 15th anniversary celebrations. I extend my heartfelt thanks for everything you have done to make our university a family of which we take great pride in being a part. I feel confident that OzU will continue to be a source of pride for all our members and our country with its achievements to come.”

This year, over 2,000 Ozyeginers attended Homecoming where the classes of 2020, 2021, and 2022 came together at the Alumni Wall Ceremony, and placed their custom engraved logs on the Alumni Wall. Following the ceremony, OzU alumni attended the special events organized by their faculties. After the picnic and the performance of music bands made up of OzU alumni, Fazıl Say and Serenad Bağcan gave a special concert in observance of Özyeğin University’s 15th anniversary.
