Özyeğin University Student Volkan Özkur Emerges as One of Three Winners in the ‘3 Chefs Under 35” Competition

Volkan Özkur, a junior Gastronomy and Culinary Arts student at Özyegin University, was named one of the three winners in the ‘3 Chefs Under 35 Competition’, organized under the theme of 'The Future of Food: Zero Waste Kitchen’ by Dude Table with Metro Turkey as the main sponsor. The competition took place at Gastronometro on December 7, 2023 and welcomed all young chefs between the ages of 18 and 35. Ten young chefs who made it to the finals presented their final menu, consisting of a starter, main course, and dessert, and curated with the zero-waste kitchen principle, for the evaluation of the jury. Ayşegül Uslu, Özge Nur Yılmaz, and Volkan Özkur rose as the winners of the competition, earning the privilege of attending a special training program on sustainable cuisine in Italy as 'Ambassadors of Sustainability in Turkish Cuisine’ with the support of Metro Türkiye.
