Summer School 2026 - University of Pecs, Hungary: 2026 Summer Schools + Online Info Session

We would like to share with all students the announcement for Summer Schools sent from one of our partner institutions, University of  Pecs (Hungary).

The university will conduct an online info session about the summer schools on November 26th, 2025 at 18:00 CET. Interested students must register to attend. 

The university is also organising info sessions about their summer programs, which you can find the details about in the announcement below.

Please note that as the International Exchange & Partnership Programs Office, we do not have any information other than that provided to us by the institution. Therefore, should you need any further details, please contact University of Pecs.

The transfer and adaptation of the courses and credits taken at the summer/winter school to OzU transcript are optional and are subject to approval by the OzU Faculty/Graduate School. If you would like to get this program’s courses and credits transferred to your OzU transcript, you should contact the administration of your Faculty/Graduate School to learn about the procedure before you register for a course at the partner institution.

During the session, participants will learn about our credit-bearing programs, student life in Hungary, and the rich cultural and social experiences we offer every summer.

Pecs Summer School 2026 Programs:

Two-week programs | July 4–18, 2026 | 6 ECTS credits each | €1,050–€1,450

1. European Studies Summer School (1,050 EUR)
   Explore the political, cultural, and social achievements of Europe through engaging lectures on art, gastronomy, migration, and diversity.
2. Leadership Skills Summer School (1,050 EUR)
   Develop essential leadership, communication, and teamwork skills to become an effective and confident leader.
3. Sustainability – Social Ecology (1,050 EUR)
   Combine theory and practice as you engage with local NGOs on sustainability and inclusion projects.
   
   
4. International Human Rights Law (1,450 EUR)
   Gain insight into major international human rights issues, EU human rights law, and humanitarian protection. (Open to Law students.)
   
   
5. Debate Academy (July 19 – August 2, 1,050 EUR)
   Strengthen your critical thinking and public speaking in this hands-on, international debate program.

Four-week Combined Programs | July 5 – August 2, 2026

Combine any of the above with the Debate Academy for a four-week experience and double your learning and intercultural exposure:

• European Studies + Debate Academy (2,100 EUR)
  Leadership Skills + Debate Academy (2,100 EUR)
  Sustainability + Debate Academy (2,100 EUR)
  International Human Rights Law + Debate Academy (2,500 EUR)

Program fees include: 

• Tuition and materials
• Dormitory accommodation
• Lunch on teaching days + two dinners per week
• Cultural and social programs: sightseeing, Intercultural Evening, Quiz Night, wine tasting, dragon boat race, darts contest, pool party, museum visits
