Özyeğin University President Prof. Barış Tan Attended the “Global Leadership Academy” Launch, Developed in Cooperation with the Global Turks Foundation

Özyeğin University President Prof. Barış Tan attended the “Global Leadership Academy,” a pioneering initiative developed by our university in collaboration with the Global Turks Foundation to enhance the global impact of Turkish leaders. The program launch took place on November 28, 2025.

Designed by our distinguished faculty and shaped by the findings of the Global Turks par Excellence Leadership Survey, the program aims to cultivate the next generation of Turkish leaders and further elevate the visibility of the “Globally Successful Turkish Leader” brand. Together with the Global Turks Foundation, our shared goal is to equip participants with critical global competencies, including self-awareness, cultural agility, and transformational leadership.

At the launch, Özyeğin University President Prof. Barış Tan emphasized the university’s mission as an innovative and entrepreneurial research institution. Ayşegül Dicle Aydın, Founder and Chair of the Global Turks Foundation, shared the foundation’s vision for building a trusted and inspiring community of distinguished Turkish leaders.

The program opened with remarks from Hüsnü M. Özyeğin, Founder of Özyeğin University; followed by speeches from Özyeğin University President Prof. Barış Tan; Ayşegül Dicle Aydın, Global Turks Foundation Founder and Chair; Ayşem Sargın, Board Member; Arzuhan Doğan Yalçındağ, Honorary Board Chair and Doğan Holding Board Member; Bekir Polat, Vice President of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Investment Office; and Levent Gümrükçü, Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Prof. Mahmut Bayazıt, Director of the Graduate School of Business, presented the program’s content, shaped by insights from the Global Turks par Excellence research. Following the presentation, Murat Özyeğin, Chair of Fiba Group; Arzuhan Doğan Yalçındağ, and Saniye Gülser Corat presented the 2025 Global Turks Award to Murat Emirdağ on behalf of Ahmet Bozer. The program concluded with an inspiring panel moderated by Bahadır Kaleağası, featuring Beste Ermaner, Dilek Dayınlarlı, Kerem Alper, and Ümit Subaşı, who shared valuable insights from their global leadership journeys.
