Peer Advising Program Applications Are Now Open!

Peer Advising Program Applications Are Now Open!

Dear Students,

Applications are now open for the Peer Advising Program, coordinated by the Student Development and Experience Department and carried out under the Office of Social Change Volunteers.

The Peer Advising Program is a peer support and solidarity program designed to support newly admitted preparatory and undergraduate students in adapting to the social, cultural, and academic life of the university. Peer Advisors contribute to this process by sharing their own experiences and helping new students adjust more easily to university life.

Within the scope of the program, Peer Advisors:

  • organize meetings with new students,
  • support students by responding to frequently asked questions during the adaptation process to campus life,
  • take part in introducing university resources and tools,
  • guide their advisees to relevant offices and necessary academic/administrative units,
  • and actively take part in the Orientation Program, meetings, and supportive trainings.

Opportunities Offered to Peer Advisors:

  • Participation in various trainings designed to support volunteering and advising processes, and the opportunity to receive a Certificate of Participation upon meeting the relevant requirements,
  • Active involvement and leadership experience in the Orientation Program, one of the university’s most comprehensive organizations,
  • Social interaction opportunities with other Peer Advisors through coffee meetups, various events, and the year-end closing event,
  • A commemorative sweatshirt specially designed for the program to support team spirit and sense of belonging.

Who can apply?

Applicants are expected to:

  • have a minimum CGPA of 2.20 in the current semester,
  • be a currently enrolled student and renew their university registration for the following semester,
  • not be in graduating status by the end of the Fall semester,
  • have completed at least one academic year in their registered faculty,
  • and have received no disciplinary penalty since the year of enrollment at the university.

The program also welcomes students who have strong communication skills, can take responsibility, are open to teamwork, manage their time effectively, are open to self-development, and show respect for differences.

How will the application process work?

Applications will be received through an online Google Form.
Following the preliminary evaluation of applications, eligible candidates will be invited to face-to-face or online interviews to be held between June 1 and June 19, 2026.
The interviews will be evaluated by the Interview Committee.
