Registration for IAPS-Culture & Space Network “Culture and Space Meetings 5” Design Workshops Extended until 29 June

The application period for the design workshops organized within the scope of IAPS-Culture & Space Network “Culture and Space Meetings 5” has been extended until 29 June 2026.

Organized under the main theme “Multi-Ecological Perspectives on Palimpsest Cities in the Anthropocene,” the workshops are conceived as a multilayered, critical, and experimental production process that brings together instructors and participants from different disciplines.

The workshops approach the idea of the “city in the Anthropocene” and Istanbul not merely as a site of crisis, but also as a ground for rethinking, rereading, and rewriting. Within this framework, participants are invited on an intuitive and critical intellectual journey that moves between the traces of the past, the ruptures of the present, and the possibilities of the future.

Participants are expected to produce experiential works through different narrative and representational tools, such as posters, layered collages, diagrams, videos, short films, and experimental texts, focusing on the city of Istanbul and future imaginaries.

The workshops will be conducted as hybrid studio environments that bring together online and physical meetings. They are open to undergraduate and graduate students from the fields of architecture, urbanism, design, art, and social sciences, as well as interdisciplinary participants.
