Hamide Bağçeci graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law at Maltepe University in 2003. She received her LL.M. in Public Law from the Institute of Social Sciences at Marmara University in 2005 and completed her Ph.D. in Public Law at the same institution in 2010.Between 2012 and 2021, she served as a faculty member in the Department of Constitutional Law at Kadir Has University Faculty of Law. She was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2020 and joined the Faculty of Law at Özyeğin University as an Associate Professor of Constitutional Law in 2021. Since 2023, she has been working as the Head of the Department of Public Law at Özyeğin University Faculty of Law, where she continues her academic work in the Department of Constitutional Law.

Her research interests include constitutional law, human rights law, political participation rights, health law, medical law, patients' rights, and biolaw. She is the author of books published by national and international publishers and has published numerous articles in journals indexed in SSCI, Scopus, and other international databases.Her books include Referendum as an Instrument of Political Participation: European Union and Turkish Practice, The Patient's Right to Self-Determination, and State and Systems of Government.Her current research focuses on constitutional law, legal theory, constitutional adjudication, human rights, and the impact of emerging technologies on public law.
