The “OzU-X Building,” a center for innovation founded jointly by Özyeğin University and General Electric (GE) Türkiye, was launched.

A memorandum of understanding was signed with the “Competitive Sectors Program” for the “BEYSAD Industry 4.0 Excellence Center Project”.

OzU Couple and Family Therapy Center (OzU CFC) was launched.

The “Dorm 6 Building” and the “OzU-X Building” were named among the best architectural projects of 2017.

The first Chill@OzU event was held at Özyeğin University under the leadership of the Student Union. The event featured the Belgian music band "Oscar and the Wolf" as the headliner, and played host to more than 9,000 people.

Özyeğin University ranked first for overall satisfaction in the 2017 Türkiye’s University Satisfaction Survey (TÜMA) for the second time. Özyeğin University Rector Prof. Esra Gençtürk was honored with the “Golden Award” in recognition of her outstanding performance.

Özyeğin University ranked first among the “Universities with Highest Graduate Employment Rate” according to the results of the CALIBRE Higher Education Employment Index 2018 prepared by the Career and Talent Management Association based on a nationwide survey.
