Biography
Electrical Engineer and Assistant Professor in Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department of Ozyegin University, Istanbul, Turkey with 10 years of academic, 4 years of Industry experience in power grid operations and planning.He is currently the Department Head of Electrical & Electronics Engineering and the Director of Grid Operations and Planning Laboratory at Ozyegin University and the Industrial Relations Coordinator at IEEE Turkey.He received M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2013 and 2015 respectively. He joined Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratory (MERL) in Boston, MA as a scientist in 2014, then Alevo Analytics in Charlotte, NC as a Power Systems Consultant in 2015, and later Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) as Grid Operations and Planning Scientist in 2016. Since 2017, he is a faculty member at Ozyegin University.He has project experience on the topics of sustainable energy generation, energy efficiency framework, E-mobility infrastructure, flexibility assessment and forecasting in energy systems.

Biography
Mr. Ahmad El Sayed received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Balamand, Lebanon in 2014, followed by his M.Sc. in Energy Systems, Operation, and Technology from Bahcesehir University in 2017. He has worked as an energy project engineer in Lebanon and as an energy consultant at Acelerex company. Currently, he is a PhD candidate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Ozyegin University, where serves as a teaching assistant for various courses, including optimization for power engineers, fundamentals of power systems, energy economics and policy, among others. Additionally, he works as a researcher involved in projects related to energy system planning and operations. His research interests encompass Distributed Energy Resources (DER), Virtual Power Plant (VPP), Operations Research, Renewable Energy, Energy Storage, and Electricity Markets.

Ms. Sinem Kol received her B.Sc. degree from Department of Electronics Engineering at Gebze Technical University in 2021. He is currently working as a project specialist in University-Industry Collaboration TRAFORM and E-Mobility projects. He has a publication titled “Revisiting Network Reconfiguration in the Era of Unpredictable EV Charger Integration”.
