Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP)

In the 2022-23 academic year, Özyeğin University achieved great success in the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP), which the Higher Education Quality Board conducts to improve and ensure the quality of higher education institutions. It is one of the few universities to receive "Full Accreditation" this year. The Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP) is an external assessment method that evaluates quality assurance in higher education institutions, as well as the processes related to education, research and development, societal contribution, and management system, within the context of the "planning, implementation, control, and corrective action" cycle.

IAP is based on the Institutional External Evaluation and Accreditation Criteria and the Institutional External Evaluation and Accreditation Guide, developed by the Higher Education Quality Board's evaluation teams. Each year, higher education institutions included in IAP are determined by YÖKAK (Higher Education Quality Board), and evaluation teams are formed for the structure of these institutions. The evaluation teams conduct two visits (pre-visit and on-site visits) to the relevant higher education institutions. As a result of these visits, Institutional Accreditation Reports (IAR) are prepared by the evaluation teams, and YÖKAK makes decisions regarding accreditation based on these reports.
