Özyeğin University Students Admitted to the Entrepreneurship Foundation

The recipients of the Entrepreneurship Foundation’s “Fellow Program” have been announced. Founded in 2014 to establish and advance the entrepreneurship culture in Turkey, the Entrepreneurship Foundation (GIRVAK) offers the “Fellow Program to support university students in their entrepreneurship journey and make entrepreneurship a career alternative among young people.

In 2020, 114,293 students from 171 universities across Turkey applied for the program. Among Özyeğin University students, 3 new “Fellows” and 3 new “Challengers” have been admitted to the program.  In addition to Uğurcan Ayık, our Electrical-Electronics Engineering student who was admitted to program in 2019, this year, Serkut Haşimoğlu from the Mechanical Engineering Program, Barış Arat from the Business Administration Program, and Mustafa Kürşat Yalçın from the International Relations Program qualified to join the program as “Fellow”, while Doğa Satı from the Law Program, Musa Berkay Kocabaşoğlu from the Electrical-Electronics Engineering Program, and Ahmet Furkan Yılmaz from the Architecture Program have been welcomed to the program as “Challenger”.

The Girvak Fellow Program awards a 12-month scholarship to the university students who are selected as Fellows, while also enabling participants to meet inspiring entrepreneurs and be a part of a global network at its bi-monthly “FellowUp” events.
