Third Term Graduates of the Data Science Certificate Program Co-Run by Özyeğin University and ING Turkey Receive Their Certificates at an Online Ceremony

The Data Science Certificate Program offered jointly by Özyeğin University and ING Turkey celebrated its third class of graduates. In the third term of the program, which was launched in 2018, 21 ING employees received their graduation certificates during an online graduation ceremony.

Inaugurated with the opening remarks of Meltem Kalender, CHRO at ING Turkey, the ceremony continued with the speeches of Mr. Alper Gökgöz, CEO at ING Turkey, and our Rector Prof.  Dr. Esra Gençtürk, who addressed the fresh graduates.  

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Esra Gençtürk began her address by congratulating 21 ING employees who graduated this term. “In an environment the world has never encountered before and under the challenging conditions created by the pandemic, both Özyeğin University and ING Turkey showcase commendable agility and hard work as they remain dedicated to offering this program. We can say that this joint project we launched with ING in 2018 is an exemplary model for lifelong learning. The fact that our cooperation is growing ever stronger with each passing term and that we are united around our shared values ​is a great source of happiness to us.  I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all our graduates and wish them continued success in their careers”, said Prof. Dr. Esra Gençtürk.

Following the speeches, 21 ING employees celebrated their graduation online. 

The Data Science Certificate Program is co-run by Özyeğin University and ING Turkey in 7-week modules. The program celebrated its first class of 23 graduates in December 2019 and its second class of 18 students in July 2020.
