2017 - 2018 Fall Semester Dormitory Applications III

Dear Students,

Please be advised that applications are invited for a third time for the OzU dormitories. You may complete your 2017-2018 Fall semester dormitory applications from Thursday, September 14, 2017, 10:00 to Monday, September 18, 2017, 16:00. Below you may find the available room types and capacities. Please note that, in order for your application to be considered, you must pay your security deposit (500,00 TL) before Monday, September 18, 2017, 16:00.

There are two different systems in dormitory applications: Annual Registration and Semester Registration. You may complete your dormitory applications, choosing your preferred system.

Annual Registration System:

• Provides priority in room assignments, and increases your chances of being placed in the room of your choice,
• Provides warranty to stay in the same room throughout the year, without the need to submit a new dormitory application for the Spring semester at the end of the Fall semester,
• Increases your chances of staying with the room mate(s) of your choice in the same room.

Students are required to pay 1,500 TL for Annual Registration. The Annual Registration Fee of 1,500 TL is offset with the Spring semester housing fees. Should students choose the Annual Registration option but subsequently decide not to stay in the OzU dormitories during the Spring semester, they will not be refunded for the Annual Registration Fee they paid.

Students who choose the Semester Registration option will be assigned a room after students who choose the Annual Registration option are assigned theirs. Residents who choose the Semester Registration option must check out of their rooms at the end of the Fall semester. These students must submit a new application via SIS in order to stay in the dormitories during the Spring semester.

Your priority in room assignments is determined by the system automatically based on the following order of priority as well as the date and time of your application.

1. Students with Housing Scholarship
2. International Students
3. Newly admitted students from outside Istanbul (Annual Registration)
4. Newly admitted students from outside Istanbul (Semester Registration)
5. Current students from outside Istanbul (Annual Registration)
6. Current students from outside Istanbul (Semester Registration)
7. Newly admitted students from Istanbul (Annual Registration)
8. Newly admitted students from Istanbul (Semester Registration)
9. Current students from Istanbul (Annual Registration)
10. Current students from Istanbul* (Semester Registration)

* The order of priority for room assignments for students from Istanbul is as follows:

1. Precinct: Arnavutköy, Beylikdüzü, Büyükçekmece, Çatalca, Esenyurt, Silivri
2. Precinct: Islands, Avcılar, Başakşehir, Küçükçekmece, Pendik, Tuzla
3. Precinct: Bağcılar, Bahçelievler, Bakırköy, Beykoz, Esenler, Gaziosmanpaşa, Güngören, Kartal, Sultanbeyli, Sultangazi, Zeytinburnu
4. Precinct: Bayrampaşa, Beyoğlu, Eyüp, Fatih, Maltepe, Sarıyer, Şişli
5. Precinct: Beşiktaş, Kadıköy, Kağıthane, Üsküdar
6. Precinct: Ataşehir, Çekmeköy, Sancaktepe, Şile, Ümraniye

You may check the result of your dormitory applications starting from Tuesday, September 19, 2017, 17:00. To check your dormitory application results, please log into the SIS and click on the Dorm Process >> Dorm Application Result tabs.

If your dormitory application is accepted and you are assigned a room, you must prepare the required documents and submit them to the Accommodation Services Management. Once you submit your documents, you may check in your room starting from Friday, September 22, 2017, 9:00.
