The First Winter School of the WeCoRD Erasmus+ Project was Held From February 8 to 21, 2021

Özyeğin University played host to "Components for Wearable and Collaborative Robots”, the first winter school of the Erasmus + Project “Open Educational Resources on Enabling Technologies in Wearable and Collaborative Robotics (WeCoRD)” co-run by Ford OtoSan, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Saint Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies and Universiteit Twente. The winter school took place online from February 8 to 21, 2021.     The main goal of the winter school, which was held for the first time this year, was to develop transdisciplinary and open-source educational tools on wearable and collaborative robots.

The event was coordinated by Assistant Professor Ebru Kılıç Bebek, Assistant Professor Barkan Uğurlu and Deniz Yılmaz. During the winter school, trainers from more than 10 institutions, 6 of which were guests, gave lectures. 48 graduate students attended the program with the participation of numerous institutions from Turkey as well as from different countries such as Italy, the Netherlands, Russia, Germany and Belgium. The winter school was held in 8 teams, on which students developed an application based on a use-case problem presented by Ford Otosan. 

At the end of the online event, each participant was awarded a certificate of participation.
