2C1N Project 2021 Youth Goals Report Presented on Air with the Participation of Our Rector Prof. Dr. Esra Gençtürk

Mentored by Ozyegin University Sustainability Platform and conducted with the collaboration of Zorlu Holding and Simurg Association, the pilot project for this year under 2C1N Project has been completed. The project report issued by 1,500 high school students to communicate their requests for change to international decisionmakers was launched live stream on the YouTube channel of the Simurg Association on August 12, the International Youth Day. This versatile discussion platform -built by the youth around the concept of sustainability based on a respectful and fair world order- has enabled them to discuss their sustainability visions for the world in and after 2030, their expectations from and criticisms to the UN, their approach to global goals, topics focused on global issues, and the world they want to live in. During the opening speech, our Rector Prof. Dr. Esra Gençtürk said, “Our focus is the youth and our faith in them. This effort, which is aligned with our values as an entrepreneurial and research university, gives us hope for the future. The involvement of the high school students in the process is very valuable. We are witnessing to the fact that a better world is possible for all of us with the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 and beyond.”
