Welcome to OzU!

In the new academic year, we embarked on a journey where we will conduct online and face-to-face classes together. We know that starting this process brought many feelings that we shared as a part of the ÖzÜ family. While we feel excited for the new term, we may also feel uncertain about the new system. No matter how much we miss the campus, we can experience the difficulties of adapting to it again. At this point, it is very valuable to remember that you are not alone and you experience similar feelings with many members of the ÖzÜ Family.

Embarking on this new journey with a blend of online and face-to-face lessons can be overwhelming at first. You may be comparing the two layouts and at times you may find it difficult to adapt. You may feel academic anxiety. If you are staying at home with your family, you may have a hard time finding a dedicated space for online classes.

Experiencing all this is very natural at first, and as you get used to your new life, especially towards the end of the first semester, it will decrease and pass as the days go by.

What Can You Do That Is Good For You?

- With the clarification of your course schedule; you can create daily and weekly routines. If you live with your family, you can share your schedule with them and ask them to respect your individual space for online classes.

- In the past academic periods, you have gained experience in online education and you have experienced what is good and what is not good for you. You can consider these.

-It's important to take care of yoursel when you wake up every day. Even on days with online classes, you can try to get prepared as if you were coming to campus. This attitude will make you feel more energetic.

-You can do physical exercises and stretch your body between classes during the day. You can take short walks, and if you are on campus, you can share these activities with your friends.

-You can include your favorite activities and hobbies in your daily routine. For example, you can become a member of a student club that interests you.

What Can You Do To Increase Your Adjustment to University Life?

First of all, remember that every transition in life can contain excitement and anxiety. In this transition period, you will have an adaptation process. Give yourself time for this. Also, remember to remind yourself that you're not the only one experiencing all of this.
