Dear Members of OzU,

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the University Senate has approved the continuation of the three method of instruction for the courses offered in the 2021-2022 Spring Semester. You may find the set of rules and regulations for each method as well as the list of the offered courses with their instruction method below.

The weekly schedule and syllabus of the offered courses will be announced later on.

Methods of Instruction

Group I - Face-to-Face Only Courses (1): Includes courses that are not suitable for being offered/taken online. They can only be taken in-place and in-person. These courses are not synchronously video streamed and they are not recorded.

The courses in this category include the following four subtypes:

  •  Face-to-Face Synchronous (2d)This course is synchronously video streamed but not recorded live.

Group III - Online Only Courses: These courses can only be taken online. They include the following subtypes:

  • Online Synchronous Recorded (3a): This course is offered online only via synchronous video streaming during class hours and is recorded live. The recordings are shared with students on LMS.
  • Online Synchronous (3b): This course is offered online only via synchronous video streaming during class hours but not recorded live.

Exams

All midterm, final and composite exams for the courses in Group I and Group II will be administered face-to-face and on campus.

  • These courses can have only one face-to-face exam on campus during the semester,
  • This on-campus exam must be administered during one of the following weeks: the week of April 4th, the week of April 11th or the week of April 18th,
  • All students registered to these courses must attend the on-campus exams irrespective of whether they follow the course face-to-face or online, and
  • Any make-up option for this exam must also be administered face-to-face and on campus.

All exams (midterm, final and composite exams) for the courses in Group III will be administered online. These courses may have several midterm exams and these midterm exams may be administered within any week during the semester.

The final schedule for the midterms, final and composite exams will be determined and announced after the add-drop period.
