We Came in First in "Ideatrophy" Organized by Unilever

Özyeğin University students came in first in the “Ideatrophy” challenge organized by Unilever for a clean future with their project “Bluechip” designed to help recycle solid waste. The students developed a system to dispose of used Unilever products at a recycling station by using a barcode system. The system also enables users to collect points each time waste is disposed of at the recycling station, which can later be redeemed for a variety of prizes. Following the semifinals in January, the grand finale took place on March 15, 2022 where the OzU team was honored with first prize. After the grand finale in Turkey, the students will further develop their project to compete in the international grand finale of “Unilever Ideathrophy”, which will take place in London this year with different country winners in attendance.
