Summer School 2022: Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Finland

We would like to share with all our students the announcement regarding the ICT Summer School 2022 sent from one of our partner institutions Metropolia University of Applied Sciences (Finland). You can find the information and details provided by the partner institution below.

Should you wish to apply to the ICT Summer School, please notify OzU International Office at international.relations@ozu.edu.tr by May 16th, since the host institution requires a confirmation email from us to inform them about your status as an OzU student and that our approval for your participation in the summer school program. 

Please note that we, as the International Exchange Programs Office, do not have any information other than that provided to us. Therefore, should you need any further details, please contact Metropolia University of Applied Sciences directly.

If you would like to transfer the summer school courses and credits to your OzU transcript, you should contact the administration of your faculty to learn about the procedure.

ICT Summer School at Metropolia UAS will be organized in August 2022 for the 22nd time. You are kindly invited to participate!

The list of courses offered and more information about the ICT Summer School can be found in our website. All courses in the ICT Summer School are taught in English.

ICT Summer School courses are held in Metropolia Myyrmäki campus in the city of Vantaa. The campus address is Leiritie 1, 01600 Vantaa.

Time: 1 - 26 August 2022
Application period: 2 - 31 May, 2022
Target group: Students who want to study in an international atmosphere and are interested in information and communication technologies.
Fee: No tuition fees for students of Metropolia’s partner universities, but participating students need to pay for their travel, accommodation, and subsistence expenses.

Application
Students from partner universities register with online form:

• Choose the Academic year 2022-2023 and the Autumn semester
• Choose "Technology" as the Field of study at Metropolia
• Choose "ICT Summer School" as the Purpose of the short-term mobility period
• Choose "Information and Communications Technology, 0610" as the Degree program at Metropolia

The deadline for applications is 31 May 2022. Applicants will be informed in June of which courses they are selected for. Please note! The most popular courses can fill up quickly so it is good to register as early as possible. Since there are no tuition fees for students from partner universities, applicants need to provide us with confirmation from their home university that:

1. they are degree students there, and that
2. the home university approves their participation in the ICT Summer School at Metropolia.

Confirmation via e-mail is enough for this purpose.
