Our Interior Architecture and Environment Design Department Students Win Awards at MEKAN 2023 Competition

Elif Demirtaş and Erdinç Can, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design students at Özyeğin University, were honored with awards at MEKAN 2023 /the National Graduation Projects Competition for Interior Architecture Students, organized by the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at Istanbul Kültür University. Celebrating its 10th edition this year, the competition received 47 submissions from 22 universities in Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Among our students who individually worked on the transformation of the Gazhane structure in Istanbul Yedikule into a performing arts center as part of their graduation project for the 2022-2023 Spring semester, Elif Demirtaş earned the third prize for her "Art Academy" project, while Erdinç Can received an honorable mention for his "Reed" project. Assistant Prof. Selin Üst, Dr. Pınar Artıkoğlu, and Research Assistant Armağan Yüksekkaya played pivotal roles as supervisors in guiding our students through their graduation projects.
