Özyeğin University Faculty Member Prof. Mehmet Burçin Ünlü Appears as a Guest on CNNTURK on January 21

Prof. Mehmet Burçin Ünlü, Dean of the Faculty of Aviation and Aeronautical Sciences at Özyeğin University, appeared as a guest on CNNTURK’s 5N1K program hosted by journalist Cüneyt Özdemir on January 21, 2024. During the broadcast from the campus, Dean Prof. Ünlü provided insights into the contributions of the first Turkish astronaut, Alper Gezeravcı, who embarked on the Axiom Mission 3 (Ax-3) mission to space on January 18, 2024. Prof. Ünlü discussed the experiments that Astronaut Gezeravcı will conduct as part of his mission and their potential impact on aviation and aeronautical sciences research in Türkiye, as well as future studies. In addition, Prof. Ünlü also provided information and shared his opinions about the postponement of the Artemis Mission, a robotic and human Moon exploration program led by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), to 2026.
