We Gathered Together on Campus to Celebrate October 29 Republic Day

As members of the Özyeğin University community, we gathered on campus to celebrate the 101st anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Türkiye.

The ceremony began at 11:00 a.m. with the laying of a wreath in front of the Atatürk Memorial on campus. Following a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem, held under a Turkish flag gifted to our University from Anıtkabir and displayed on the AB1 building, Özyeğin University President Prof. Barış Tan addressed the attendees. In his speech, President Tan expressed that the Republic is entrusted to future generations by our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and as we celebrate its second century, Özyeğin University takes great pride in its commitment to upholding its values and legacy. The celebration concluded with reflections on Republic Day shared by students from the Faculty of Law and Engineering.
