FAAS - Korea Aerospace University Visit

Upon request, Asst.Prof.Dr. Shane Chung, from Korea Aerospace University, a long-established aviation university in South Korea, and his students visited our Faculty of Aviation and Aeronautical Sciences.

Our Dean of the Faculty of Aviation and Aeronautical Sciences, Prof.Dr. M. Burçin Ünlü, Vice Dean, Asst.Prof.Dr. H. Önder Aldemir, Asst.Prof.Dr. Hatice Küçükönal and lecturer Mehmet Ertürk participated in the visit and presentations. Our Head of the Aviation Management Department, Asst.Prof.Dr. Leyla Adiloğlu-Yalçınkaya gave a comprehensive presentation about our faculty. It was followed by Asst.Prof.Dr. Shane Chung's presentation about his university and its educational models.

The visit was guided by our faculty’s Research Assistants, Barış Orak, Çağatay Coşkun, Rabia Demir Güven, Professional Flight Program Administrative Supervisor Hande Zeydan and our valuable students from the aviation management department. Following the lunch, a simulator experience, and a campus tour at our University, students from the Aviation Management department at Korea Aerospace University gave presentations examining the airline market in their country.

This visit was fruitful for both the students and our faculty, fostering cultural exchange and academic knowledge sharing. Preliminary discussions were held regarding collaborations and agreements between the universities, and the importance of maintaining these relationships was emphasized for both universities.
