Işıl Özdemir from the School of Languages Awarded the Eaquals Teacher Award 2026

Işıl Özdemir, Instructor at the School of Languages at Özyeğin University, has been awarded the Eaquals Teacher Award 2026, an international recognition presented by Eaquals (Evaluation and Accreditation of Quality in Language Services).

The Eaquals Teacher Award honors outstanding language educators who demonstrate excellence in teaching, innovation in classroom practice, active engagement in professional development, and meaningful impact on learners and colleagues.

The award recognises Özdemir’s work in integrating global awareness, sustainability, and critical thinking into Academic English instruction. Her teaching approach emphasizes student voice, intercultural understanding, and the development of reflective and engaged learners. As part of the award, she will attend and present at the Eaquals Annual International Conference in March 2026 in Berlin.
