Architecture Department Students' Projects Exhibited at Metropol Istanbul Shopping Mall
Özyeğin University Architecture Department students had the opportunity to experience professional processes by developing conceptual projects for the transformation of the garden level of Metropol Istanbul Shopping Mall, a leading brand in the sector.
The project topic proposed by Metropol Istanbul Shopping Mall was studied within the scope of the Urban Planning and Design course under the supervision of our university faculty member, Mehmet Saner, and part-time lecturer, Tolga Kayacan, during the Fall 2025-26 semester. The analyses conducted by our students and the projects developed in collaboration with the management of Metropol Istanbul Shopping Mall to address a real problem were presented to the management team, with strong participation, on February 12, 2026. The projects, which were exhibited throughout February, were also opened to voting by the mall visitors.

The collaboration between Özyeğin University and Metropol Istanbul Shopping Mall is being evaluated for formalization, and the projects are to be selected from among those exhibited and advanced to the implementation phase.
