We would like to share with all students the announcement for Summer 2026 Programs in Egypt sent from one of our partner institutions, American University in Cairo (Egypt).
Since the host university requires a nomination from our office, interested students should apply via international.relations@ozu.edu.tr by April 9th, 2026 Thursday, including a copy of their transcript of records from the SIS. If the host institution requires other criteria for the candidate students, this announcement will be updated accordingly.
Please note that as the International Exchange & Partnership Programs Office, we do not have any information other than that provided to us by the institution. Therefore, should you need any further details, please contact American University in Cairo.
The transfer and adaptation of the courses and credits taken at the summer/winter school to OzU transcript are optional and are subject to approval by the OzU Faculty/Graduate School. If you would like to get this program’s courses and credits transferred to your OzU transcript, you should contact the administration of your Faculty/Graduate School to learn about the procedure before you register for a course at the partner institution.

We are delighted to share the Summer 2026 nomination details at The American University in Cairo (AUC).
All summer programs are hosted on AUC’s state-of-the-art campus in New Cairo, where students benefit from world-class facilities, comprehensive student services, and direct access to the cultural and historical richness of Cairo.

Program Offerings
Arabic Language Intensive Summer (ALIS)
Dates: June 7 – July 22Credits6
ALIS offers a rigorous, immersive Arabic language experience in the heart of the Arab world. The structured, cohort-based curriculum integrates Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian Colloquial Arabic, allowing students at all proficiency levels to make significant linguistic and cultural gains in a short period of time.

AUC Regular Summer Session (English-taught courses)
Maximum Credits: 6 (2 courses)
Students enroll in regular AUC courses alongside degree-seeking students, providing full integration into campus life and academics. Courses span a wide range of disciplines, including political science, business, communication, STEM fields, and the humanities.
Session Dates
- 3-week Session A: June 7 – June 26
- 3-week Session B: June 29 – July 20
- 6-week Session: June 7 – July 19
These dates reflect AUC’s six-week summer session, which includes the majority of course offerings. AUC may also offer two accelerated three-week sessions (Session A and Session B). Please consult the final published schedule in mid-April to confirm when your courses of interest will be available. A detailed academic calendar is attached for reference.
The final Summer 2026 course schedule will be released in mid-April. In the meanwhile, you may look at summer offerings from previous semesters to assist with preliminary advising and planning.
