Özyeğin University President Prof. Barış Tan Attended Signing Ceremony for Memorendum of Understanding with EBRD for New Student Dormitory Project

Özyeğin University President Prof. Barış Tan attended the signing ceremony for the Memorendum of Understanding (MoU) on March 4, 2026. The MoU represents the launch of a new student dormitory project at our Çekmeköy Campus with an approximate capacity of 500 beds, designed in line with international green building standards. With financing from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), we are adding a safe, sustainable, and accessible living space to our campus.

Commenting on the financing provided by EBRD, Özyeğin University President Prof. Barış Tan stated: “Through our collaboration with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, this new green-certified dormitory investment will provide our students with a secure and inspiring living environment aligned with global sustainability standards.”

EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso added: “Our partnership with Özyeğin University directly addresses the need to expand modern on-campus accommodation where it is needed most. This investment reflects the EBRD’s long-standing commitment to supporting growth and improving opportunities for young people across Türkiye.”
