REMINDER: Patentability Search for Thesis or Graduation Projects

Dear Faculty Members,

As the Intellectual Property Rights and Commercialization Unit of ÖzÜ Technology Transfer Office, we evaluate potential inventions arising both from your research activities and from thesis or graduation projects conducted with your students.

Within the scope of innovative ideas, we carry out patentability assessments and manage protection processes through patent, utility model, or industrial design applications.

Since the protection of intellectual property rights may become more challenging in many countries after academic publications, we strongly recommend conducting patentability assessments and initiating IP protection processes prior to publication.

In this context, we would be pleased if you could direct thesis projects with potential for patenting, along with the relevant students, to the TTO.
