European Legal Design COST Action Approved with Özyeğin University Law Faculty Members Serving as Co-Proposers and Management Committee Members

Assoc. Prof. Gülfer Meriç and Asst. Prof. Başak Ozan Özparlak from the Faculty of Law at Özyeğin University are co-proposers of the European Legal Design COST Action, an initiative dedicated to enhancing access to justice and improving the clarity and usability of law at the intersection of technology and legal systems. Asst. Prof. Başak Ozan Özparlak has also been appointed as a Management Committee Member, representing Türkiye in the action coordinated by Tallinn University of Technology.

Bringing together scholars and researchers from across Europe, the initiative will conduct a wide range of activities, including international workshops, conferences, training programs, and scientific publications in the field of legal design. At its core, the initiative seeks to harness technological innovation to make legal information more accessible, understandable, and user-centered, strengthening both transparency and access to justice across societies.
